It’s great rod for fly fishermen who plan to fly fish every now and then. The reel is not extremely durable but if not used a lot its a decent reel with a good drag. The fly line could also use an upgrade for anyone who plans to fly fish very often.

This is a great introductory package for aspiring fly fishermen. Unlike other introductory packages, anglers will not outgrow this combination in a couple of years as their skills progress. In fact, more advanced anglers should even consider this if they are looking for a backup set up or looking to expand into other areas of fly fishing.

Rylyn found a sale for the Douglas Sky G rod and recommended it. He said that this was the best rod in the market and so I bought it. We paired it with monic Trout Master fly line. I was not disappointed at all! The rod feels intuitive and natural to cast. I could cast more accurately and a longer distance than I ever did with my previous rod.
