The Callaway Epic Max Fairway Wood is a fantastic club for all levels. However, this club benefits new and mid to high handicap players better as it is more forgiving and higher launching. Those qualities are better for beginners as they want to hit straight and long. Players wanting more of a lower spin and lower launch would benefit more from the LS model.
