Product details

The Daiwa Saltist Spinning Reel is a rugged reel that conventional saltwater anglers would use. A "HardBodyz" body and side plates add to the durability of this reel. The Digigear design ensures that the gears mesh smoothly, and corrosion-resistant ball bearings keep the reel cranking smoothly. The Magsealed main shaft and line roller bearing keep corrosive salt elements and dust out of the reel to prolong its longevity.

Key Features:

  • ATD Drag System – The waterproof ATD drag system can exert a maximum pressure of 33 lbs.
  • Air Bail – The hollow tubular bail is design with maximal rigidity to ensure easy line management while keeping the reel lightweight.
  • Air Rotor Design – The rotor is designed to be lightweight and balanced for smoother reel function.

What does D mean in Daiwa reels?
“D” stands for Deep spool, “S” is for Shallow, and “SS” is for Super Shallow. Normal spools do not have any letters in its name. So, Daiwa spools go D > normal (nothing but 4 digits) > S > SS.
