The Curated Take

The Thousand Heritage helmet is a stylish casual helmet that's perfect for the bike path, commute, or coffee shop. It has unexpected features, like PopLock for locking the helmet to the bike at a stop, and vegan leather straps that are super durable. This is a casual helmet that has more features than most.

I was interested in this helmet because it's very highly regarded as a durable helmet for urban commuting. I was impressed with how comfortable it and it's lighter weight than I was expecting! The colors and the aesthetic feel very timeless and it is indeed ready to take some bumps and drops while getting packed around between rides. Unfortunately for me, I need a helmet that has more ventilation and decided that I needed to look for more conventional road helmets.

Pros
  • Very durable helmet for urban commuting.
  • Built-in visor and classic bucket helmet aesthetics
  • Built in bike lock spot.
Cons
  • Very low ventilation compared to other options.
