Product details

The Mizuno MP 225 Irons are the second generation of Mizuno's Hot Metal Blade. The clubs are available in 2 iron(16.5) all the way to a GW(49). The MP 225 are considered the most playable of the Mizuno Pro Series irons and offer a Coretech multi thickness face which offers faster ball speeds off of the clubface.

Key Features:

  • MP 225 Technology – Grain Flow Forged 4135 Face and Neck (2-8 iron) with a 0.2mm thinner face, 431 Stainless Steel backing and added Tungsten weight (2-7 iron) to produce higher, more stable flight while increasing ball speeds.
  • Forged in Hiroshima Japan – Grain Flow Forged technology comes from Mizuno's facility in Hiroshima, Japan, where the same process has been perfected since 1968.
  • Soft Copper Underlay – A micro-layer of copper is located beneath nickel chrome to provide the purest and softest feel made famous by the TN87 model, which was reintroduced to the market in 2018.

Expert Q&A
Quick, accurate answers from Curated experts to the frequently asked questions
Is Mizuno Pro 225 a blade?
The MP that is common amongst all Mizuno muscle back irons stands for Mizuno Pro. This is the high end line at Mizuno which is designed for players with low handicaps who strike the ball out of the center of the face consistently. Additionally, these model irons are designed to have higher ball flights and better feel to help low handicap players shoot lower scores.

lofts from 16.5 for 2 iron to 49 degree gap wedge. Ignore the STIFF specs and set makeup. Added custom to override those and for build. so it is 2-GW - more clubs more cost per club.
