Product details

The Dobyns Rods Sierra are multi-action spinning, casting and flipping rods that conventional bass anglers would use. These rods are manufactured with high-modulus graphite blanks and built on the spine to be well-balanced rods. Kevlar wrappings improve rod integrity and increase the durability of the rods. Key Features:

  • Portuguese AA Cork – Quality cork handles help provide a secure grip and reduce hand fatigue.
  • Fuji Alconite Guides – These guides are designed to handle braid line for farther and more accurate casts.
  • Fuji Reel Seat – Sensitivity to detect subtle strikes is improved by using the Fuji reel seat, which helps transmit sensation from the line to the angler's hand.

For anglers who require a rod with a soft tip, Dobyn's Sierra series is a perfect fit. I love frog fishing, but struggled with casting distance. My research told me that the Dobyn's Sierra line features softer tips than many other options out there. The soft tip on my Sierra 735c allowed for plenty of casting distance and allowed me to easily skip hollow body frogs under docks and overhanging trees. Anglers who target species with softer mouths like walleye and smallmouth bass will also appreciate this high performance line of fishing rods.

Pros
  • Performance: Easy hooksets, reduces fatigue
  • Casting Ease: Soft tip makes skipping lures effortless
  • Quality: Lightweight graphite blank, beautiful cork split grip
Cons
  • Durability: Guides can loosen, requiring repair
  • Versatility: The 735c only works for frogs and small swimbaits
