The Silverside (or Whitebait, Spearing, Glass Minnow) is one of the highly important mainstay food forms for the Atlantic coast fisheries. In the second half of the season, from mid–summer into Fall, it becomes one of the three most important baits along with the Peanut Bunker and the Bay Anchovy in the smaller 2 ½ to 3" sizes. This pattern has proven its effectiveness for the last 4 years along the coast, and should join Henry's Albie Anchovy as big sellers in regional fly bins.
