The Hustle is a brand new line from Blizzard, and was designed to be a hybrid ski, a ski capable of both tackling the resort and being touring capable for backcountry. In essence, the Hustle is the same shape and profile as the very popular Rustler line, but with a lighter construction; the Rustler has metal underfoot, whereas the... Read more
Ideal for
  • The Hustle is a great option for skiing both the resort and backcountry.
  • The Hustle is a very versatile ski, capable of skiing powder, ice, trees, and steeps.
  • The Hustle sports a much lighter construction than similar all-mountain skis, making it more maneuverable and agile.
Not ideal for
  • The Hustle is not a great carving ski; the extensive rocker in the tip and tail limit the effective edge of the ski.
  • The Hustle is fun as an hybrid resort/touring ski, but there are better options for a resort-only ski.

What was your favorite moment with this gear?

Having used the Hustle 10 during Utah's snowiest winter ever recorded, I have had more amazing moments on this ski than I can count. But easily the most memorable moment was topping out on a snowy ridge after a long slog. Our approach had kept our line hidden from us, so we had no idea what to expect. But as we peered over our ski tips, a field of untouched powder beckoned us. I dropped in tentatively at first, gauging the snowpack for any weaknesses, but the snow was pristine; a foot of fluffy powder on top of a supportable base. I immediately opened it up, gaining speed and floating effortlessly down the face. I even let out a long "Woo-Hoo." The line stretched on seemingly forever, and I made easy, long, surfy turns all the way to the bottom, where I waited for my partner with an utterly stupid grin plastered all over my face.

What do you love about this product?

What I love the most about the Hustle 10 is how it perform as both a resort ski and a touring ski. For decades now, skiers had to to make a choice: should I buy a heavier, damper ski that will rip inside the resort, but will be too heavy to tour with? Or should I pick a lightweight ski that I can hike with all day, but will bounce off the first piece of chunder it encounters in the resort? The Hustle goes a long toward making this dilemma obsolete, meaning that skiers can finally grab a competent pair of skis that can handle both. The days of skiers needing both a pair of resort skis and a pair of touring skis are becoming a thing of the past, and the Hustle is highly versatile ski that can do both. And personally, being mostly a backcountry skier, I love that I can hike uphill with the Hustle, but it still allows me to ski aggressively on the way down, something I can't say for most other touring skis, which are often unpredictable and highly unstable when skied aggressively. Boy, this is a fun ski.

Why did you choose this product?

When Blizzard announced they were releasing a new line of touring skis, I was very eager to try them out. I had spent years touring on the very capable Zero-G 105, and I have lots of fond memories of that ski, but I had reached a point in my skiing where I no longer wanted to be held back by the limitations of my touring ski. Instead, I wanted a ski that could competently go uphill, but that would have no speed limit on the downhill. Blizzard advertised the Hustle as being a more downhill-oriented touring ski, so I couldn't wait to jump on a pair and give them a go.

The Best of the Best

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kyle and my experience with him on Curated. I’m a pretty hard headed individual and I went into the curation wanting a very specific GNU board. Kyle talked me off that ledge (was far outside my budget) and steered me in the direction of something similar that fit my budget a lot better. I’m stoked about my purchase and am so excited to get out on the slopes! Kyle was knowledgeable without being arrogant, which is extremely hard to find in the skiing industry. I don’t like to feel pressured into purchasing something without doing my research, and there was no point during our multiple day conversation that he made me feel pressured or rushed. He was patient, kind, and friendly in a way that felt above and beyond for the given task. If my rave review doesn’t say enough, Kyle seems like a gem of a human. Wishing him and his family all the best!

Super knowledgeable, great experience, tons of options, no pressure… Leo gets it!

Skied a fair bit as a kid in the Northeast, then switched to snowboarding when I moved out west 15 years ago, and just getting back into skiing somewhat seriously as my kids are pretty self-sufficient and competent on most runs these days. We usually rent, but after skiing about 20 days last year, I decided that buying new boots at a minimum was an absolute must. Some days were pure torture… But, I had no idea where to start and was instantly overwhelmed beginning my search on my own. Enter Leo and Curated. Leo took the time to understand my situation, my skill level, my goals, my preferences, etc. In short order, after I sent back my boot measurements, I received a personalized video with several different options and tons of rationale for my expanded search for skis, bindings, and poles as well. I felt very comfortable that I had a good set of options to choose from for each piece of equipment - with an accompanying wealth of Leo’s deep knowledge and experience to consider as I pondered this large, potential purchase. I decided to hold off at that point, and Leo made sure I knew he was available to text or chat live as needed - he is super responsive. No pressure at all. I came back to it later the next day, chatted a bit back and forth with Leo, and felt really confident about making the purchase. That’s really saying something given how little I knew about modern ski gear just a night or two earlier. I highly recommend Leo and will be reaching out to him directly for any future purchases. I won’t hesitate to direct friends and family to him either, and have a hunch my wife will be looking for his help right around the time my new gear hits our doorstep. Thanks, Leo!

I have been wanting to get my own gear since I can remember, having borrowed stuff from my dad and buddies as long as I can remember. However, I waited so long because although I have been boarding for a while, I didn’t know any of the terminology or what brands were good, etc. Kim made this process SO easy, and I am more than confident I will like my gear! 10/10 recommend and if I need to get more stuff I know where I am going

I had insomnia that night and found the Curated for the first time. I was curious about contacting an expert who turned out to be Andrew at 4 AM PST. I expected to get an answer a few hours later since it was in the middle of the night. I turned off my computer and went into bed he responded a few minutes later. Hopefully, I didn't wake him up, or maybe he's on EST time but either way, he's on his game.

I had many questions, and after a few days we finally got stuff figured out. Throughout the whole process he was very helpful and knowledgeable which is defiantly better then going to facebook marketplace. I tried that, but the information from an expert just helps much more. I would defiantly recommend Ryan to other customers.
