The Curated Take

The Blade 92 is the narrowest of the line blade optic series. It is stiff underfoot but has playful and soft tips. It feels at home pivoting, slashing, and going sideways, and feels great to carve when you get some snow with good traction. While it isn't great on ice, it has great pop in the apexes of turns, and because of the rocker, it feels pretty good for it's width in soft snow. With a more centered position, it feels at home slashing and balanced in the air. The ski is very very maneuverable and does a great job zipping through trees and moguls. The Blade Optic 92 is a really fun narrow ski.

Ideal for
  • Those who want a playful all mountain ski
  • Stable under foot and playful in the tips
  • Very maneuverable
Not ideal for
  • Doesn't hold an edge well on ice
  • Gets thrown about in choppy snow
  • Not extremely durable

The Line Blade Optic 92 Skis are the perfect choice for those who want to dominate groomers and power through crud. These skis are designed to provide a featherweight feel that enhances edge-to-edge quickness and precision, making them ideal for ripping hardpack and fresh snow. With their narrow profile, they offer excellent control and stability, allowing you to carve with confidence.

Key Features:

  • Featherweight Feel: The Blade Optic 92 Skis are incredibly lightweight, which makes them highly responsive and easy to maneuver.
  • Precision Control: These skis offer exceptional control thanks to their narrow profile, which allows you to make precise turns with ease.

  • Stability at High Speeds: With their stable design, these skis allow you to ski at high speeds without sacrificing control or stability.

After getting them and reading more reviews I returned them because it sounded like they would not be as stable at speed and in crud

Identical to my Stokli Stormrider 88's only 1/3 the cost

Originally posted at lineskis.com on Jan 9, 2023
I'm 55 and have been skiing since I was 7. The past three years my average is 34 ski days per season, so not a lot. I've been happy with my Stokli Stormrider 88's for these past three years but today I was in for a treat. I thought it may be fun to demo a few pair of skis so I paid the $50 and got to be first to run three brand new sets of skis. The conditions were excellent, packed groomers down below and 4-6" of fresh pow up top in the bowl and the ungroomed areas were far deeper. The Line Optic 92's were the last skis I tried in all conditions mentioned. They were essentially identical in handling and feel as my Stoklis at 1/3 the cost. I was amazed. So if you're considering a set of Stokli Stormriders, I highly suggest you try these as well. Who knows, I may have just saved you $1100. =D

So Helpful!

I've been out of the ski market for so long that I had no idea there were so many subtle, but very distinct differences in equipment. Thomas almost instantly responded any time I had a question or wanted a clarification. Decision paralysis or confusion would surely have taken over if not for Thomas's help. Thank you!

Austin was amazing as always
5 /5
It's my 2nd time working with Austin - originally he had picked a snowboard out for my son that has worked out super well. Now he helped me pick out a new board for myself after using the same second hand ill-fitted one I had for 10 years. Austin was super responsive throughout the whole process, super enthusiastic, and had a lot of knowledge to share with regards to his suggestions. I could tell that all of his picks for me were well thought out and has made me super excited about trying out the Solomon Assassin I ended up purchasing.

Coming into this, I do not have a lot of knowledge on skiing equipment and neither do my family or friends. Mariah helped me by being super knowledgeable, answering all of my questions, and addressing all of my concerns. She is very quick with her responses and will provide you with an array of options that are tailored to your preferences. I appreciate that she took time to discuss the details with me. I would highly recommend her services to my family, friends, and anyone looking to buy ski equipment! She is the best! :)
