good light weight binding, but the safety is not very good.

but, the din release is pretty bad. as i used it for a touring with din setting of 6. and on my way down, i fell off, in order to dodge a piece of rock. but what happened is that: the binding sticked to my boots like an iron, even if my knee was twisted for almost 90 degree, causing severe damage and i almost died in the mountain.
(the binding and boots are professionally matched and installed in sportsbasement store).
with 175lb weight, i dont think a heel piece din of 6 should be this tough to break away, vertically or horizontally. the toe piece has no adjustable din settings . i think the combo is with some serious design flaws.
it is not offering a reasonable safety setup. i would highly advice users with this product to be very careful, for ur own sake.

Quite a good binding overall
Originally posted at markerbindings.com on Jan 11, 2024I've had these for almost a year now and I quite like them! I have the brakeless model (245g) and I haven't been disapointed yet. I skied them in every snow conditions and they perform well even in sticky spring snow. The rubber piece on the heel really helps on preventing the snow piling up and jamming the heel mechanism. The rubber piece on the toe could be a little smaller and placed a little more forward. As for the only heel riser that's worth using (9°) it could be nice if it was a little higher. 12° would be perfect actually.
I'm a midweight careful, but very agressive skier and these bad boys didn't show any sign of weakness so far! They've seen a bit of nice powder, but mostly icy couloirs of +45° angle slopes and lots of avalanche debris at the bottom. I'm not that much gentle with it, but I can tell you, they've impressed me!

Mad respect for Chris who went the extra mile to find me the perfect fit.
