The Look NX 11 bindings are an awesome value for newer skiers looking for their first set of bindings and who don't want to break the bank. But they also work well for experienced, lighter skiers wanting a simple and skier-friendly binding competent enough for cruising their local mountain. Compared to other bindings, the NX 11 has a very lightweight construction, so they don't add a ton of weight to your skis, making them easier to carry to and from the resort, but they still offer dependable retention when skiing. Most important, they're compatible with both older Alpine soles, as well as the new GripWalk boot soles, so you won't have to worry about compatibility issues. And it even sports a wider step-in zone, which is great for brand new skiers. I will note that for larger and more aggressive skiers, the Look NX 11 will prove a bit wanting: the 11 DIN is not suitable for high-speed skiing or aggressive turning. But for more novice or lighter skiers, the NX is great bang-for-the-buck.
The Look NX 11 GW Ski Bindings are the perfect all-mountain binding for recreational skiers. The Full Drive Concept toe design allows for upward release independent of the heel, ensuring dynamic release in case of a fall. Not ideal for
- The din range is on the lower end making this a better binding for either lighter weight skiers or up and coming skiers.
- The binding is not as durable as some of the more beefy ones on the market.
