Where do I start with this deck? First off I would have to say it's the best big mountain all mountain board I have ridden in 33 seasons! C2X is the best hybrid profile/bend on the market because it has more pop and power vs. traditional camrock. The shaping is the most twin of the Orca series so switch and jumping performance are on point. Magnetraction and their most camber dominant hybrid give you awesome groomer performance while Travis Rice's shaping and ever so slight volume shifting make it a dream in the pow. I did not downsize much with this board and that is how Travis ride's it too. It is not as volume shifted as the OG Orca and the 161 has been amazing! (6 foot, 220, size 11.5 boots). I have loved Lib and Gnu for years because of their USA production and green manufacturing. This board is a premier all mountain deck for an advanced intermediate to expert level rider. I found the flex to be in the 7 to 7.5ish realm on the 161 length and the base is uber fast but very thirsty out of the gates. I have ridden this board all over but mostly at Mammoth and I have not touched another board of mine since I bought it. I can't wait to get on the 2024 Apex version now! - Fresstyle POW slayer in BOTH directions.
- Powder hounds that like to keep it funky with sidehits and an occasional lap throught the park.
- Deep snow freestyle.
Not ideal for
- This board is fairly stiff and agressive. NOT for beginners,
- This is a volume shifted board. Meant to be ridden shorter than a "normal" snowboard.
- This board is not a park board.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kyle and my experience with him on Curated. I’m a pretty hard headed individual and I went into the curation wanting a very specific GNU board. Kyle talked me off that ledge (was far outside my budget) and steered me in the direction of something similar that fit my budget a lot better. I’m stoked about my purchase and am so excited to get out on the slopes!
Kyle was knowledgeable without being arrogant, which is extremely hard to find in the skiing industry. I don’t like to feel pressured into purchasing something without doing my research, and there was no point during our multiple day conversation that he made me feel pressured or rushed. He was patient, kind, and friendly in a way that felt above and beyond for the given task.
If my rave review doesn’t say enough, Kyle seems like a gem of a human. Wishing him and his family all the best!

Skied a fair bit as a kid in the Northeast, then switched to snowboarding when I moved out west 15 years ago, and just getting back into skiing somewhat seriously as my kids are pretty self-sufficient and competent on most runs these days.
We usually rent, but after skiing about 20 days last year, I decided that buying new boots at a minimum was an absolute must. Some days were pure torture… But, I had no idea where to start and was instantly overwhelmed beginning my search on my own.
Enter Leo and Curated. Leo took the time to understand my situation, my skill level, my goals, my preferences, etc. In short order, after I sent back my boot measurements, I received a personalized video with several different options and tons of rationale for my expanded search for skis, bindings, and poles as well. I felt very comfortable that I had a good set of options to choose from for each piece of equipment - with an accompanying wealth of Leo’s deep knowledge and experience to consider as I pondered this large, potential purchase.
I decided to hold off at that point, and Leo made sure I knew he was available to text or chat live as needed - he is super responsive. No pressure at all. I came back to it later the next day, chatted a bit back and forth with Leo, and felt really confident about making the purchase. That’s really saying something given how little I knew about modern ski gear just a night or two earlier.
I highly recommend Leo and will be reaching out to him directly for any future purchases. I won’t hesitate to direct friends and family to him either, and have a hunch my wife will be looking for his help right around the time my new gear hits our doorstep.
