Only deception, the sidewall are very delicate, very easy to chip. She has the previous model and it was the same...

Luke was very helpful as I am new to skiing but I feel as if I'm acclimating faster than the average person. I wanted to get something a little more advanced that I could grow into quickly and it also be useful for all-mountain usage. At first I thought I had made my decision prior to talking to him about getting Volkl mantra 88's, but I determined with his help that a larger waist was going to be a more versatile ski for me in the Rockies. A few conversations later, I fell into the Rustler 9's instead of using Volkl mantra 88's or mantra 7's. He really helped push me in the right direction so I could make a targeted approach.
