Who would love these
The Look Pivot is built for aggressive, hard-charging, advanced and expert skiers wanting a binding they can trust while ripping steep and deep terrain, dropping cliffs, and stomping table-top landings.
Why I recommend these
Expert verdict
The Look Pivot is one-of-a-kind due to its unique turntable heel piece, which allows the heel to release both vertically AND laterally (all other bindings only release vertically). This greatly increases the Pivot's range of releasability, meaning I can ski harder and more aggressively and completely trust that my binding can handle whatever I throw at it. Plus, the Pivot has a steel housing, making them one of the most durable bindings on the market. With a 15 DIN, the Pivot is reserved for advanced and expert skiers pushing the boundaries; they are definitely overkill for novices and intermediates. They also tip the scales due to their steel design, so skiers wanting a lightweight binding should look elsewhere. And despite the benefits of the heel piece, they can also be difficult to step into. But, for serious veteran skiers, there's no binding more bombproof and trustworthy.
