I'm a former ski racer and current coach, who usually gravitates toward a bigger, stiffer, damper all mountain ski that plows through anything and is stable at high speeds. My ideal ski is the Blizzard Bonafide for that reason. I was looking for as ski that offered those characteristics but was more playful and maneuverable in the bumps and trees. The Deathwish 104 is ideal for someone who wants the best of both worlds....a maneuverable, lively, poppy, reactive free ride ski that can also carve strong, high speed trenches down firm groomers. Amazing edge grip for a ski so wide. The triple camber really does cut like a serrated knife.
Ideal for
- A perfect mix of light, playful, poppy and high speed energy/stability
- low swing weight and very maneuverable in bumps and trees
- amazing edge grip for a ski that's 104mm underfoot. Carves trenches on groomers.
Not ideal for
- It's stiff and not extremely forgiving, not very energetic at low-moderate speeds.

The Moment Deathwish 104 was a nice addition to the Moment lineup, though falls short in performance to its wider siblings awesome attributes.
The skier that will benefit from this pair of sticks will be someone who wants more powder versatility in a freestyle setup that like super playful turns, and hitting side features.

Frankie is A1, top notch and his ratings and reviews speaks for itself. I went to 3 different ski shops in my area and I was sized wrong, told certain brands were high quality when they weren’t, would have been paying to much and just put on a bad path overall. I’m glad I stumbled upon Curated. I threw so many questions at Frankie and he welcomed and answered them all. I needed a new board, boots and bindings and I got a great deal. I was very nervous about buying my first pair of skis as they can be quite expensive and you want to get them right, however, as soon as I found curated and was paired with Hayden all the nervousness turned into pure excitement. Extremely helpful, knowledgeable about snowboarding in the west coast. Understands types of terrains and the type of board suited for the type of riding I like.
