2020 Model Even Better

Full Story - Icey made good on their 3 year warranty and hooked me up with a brand-new pair of 2020 Nomad 115s when I had an issue with my 2018 model. The 2020 model is a little bit different, to good effect. Gone are the noticeable rocker profile "kinks" front and back where the ski goes from camber to rocker. The ski is now almost flat with a tiny bit of camber under the foot, tip to tail, with a nice, smooth transition from tip to tail. I found the skis to be snappier, have better edge hold, and carve harder in firm conditions with far less chatter than the previous version of this ski. The flatter camber allows for near-instant change to turn-shape and effortless transition from surfy to carvy and back, making these a blast in spring snow and much more useable all-mountain. And of course, the pow performance is as good as ever. I see myself skiing this most days except for the deepest storms. This awesome ski just got better.

This is not an all mountain ski, but the best powder ski, back country ski, bowl ski, I have ever skied in my 50 years of skiing.
This ski is nimble, quick, firm, and floats through snow.
Love this ski for those special days, like today, 18” heavy snow and these puppies floated and cut through the snow effortlessly.
