The Black Crows Navis Freebird Touring Ski is ideal for intermediate and advanced skiers who want a dedicated ski for daily backcountry treks or ski that can take on long distance adventures to check off lines. The Navis Freebird pairs a wood core with carbon and fiberglass for lightness and skiability. A progressive front rocker and flared tip excels through variable snow while adding maneuverability.

Ideal for
- Lightweight, they cruise up the uphills with ease.
- Quick to edge, responsive and stable.
- 19m turning radius and the poplar/paulowina core gives them a playful feel
Not ideal for
- Not ideal for bigger hard charging resort skiers.
- At 102mm underfoot they may not have enough float for the BIG days.

I have purchased this ski multiple times.
I’ve used it on Tuckerman Ravine, I’ve toured in the Wasatch range, and I’ve used it in spring bump runs in VT. It’s my go-to ski.
Navis Freebirds float, pivot, splash, pop, and wiggle through trees and boot deep powder with the best of them.
Ideal for
- Off-piste variety
- Highly agile and intuitive
- A very playful touring ski

Posted on Dec 20, 2023Skinny enough to carve the groomed early season snow, light and springy in the bumps, have not had the opportunity to try them out in deep powder but anticipate they will excel there too! Much lighter than my other skis and a really fun ride!
