I rode this board over three days at 3 different resorts in Colorado. The first day was crusty and hard, typical mid-winter conditions at Copper. It took some getting used to going from a traditional length board to a volume shifted board. Riding felt a little weird in that it felt there like there is a delay to switch edges, and the board could lock-in on the flat section if the board isn't on edge. The crust and chop was more difficult to navigate since once the board was at speed it would buck around a bit. The next day was spring-like, slushy with hard spots in the shade. After adjusting to the width, this board was very easy to turn and charge the mountain with, down groomers or even in the moguls and trees snaking in and out of the troughs. After taking some groomed runs, I decided to take the board up into something steep and tight, North Chute and International at A-Basin. This board bounced down the face, trying to stop with the mix of harder snow, steep terrain and the softer board was very difficult. The last day was at Winter Park in the Mary Jane trees on a powder day. This is where the board truly excelled, powder and mellow lines meant this board could weave between trees, lock into carves and pop over pillows, effortlessly. This board is for the rider wanting to turn a powder day into a skatepark.
