I originally borrowed this jacket on my first summit trip up Mt. Rainier. After the trip, I immediately went home and bought it, and it has become a staple of my wardrobe. I use it for rock climbing, mountaineering, backcountry skiing, and looking dang good when I walk to class in freezing Rexburg weather.

Ideal for
- Staying super light and super warm at the same time
- Looking great on the mountain
- Lasting an eternity through rough conditions. I literally crawled through an extremely tight cave for 6 hours and came out with hardly any damage.
Not ideal for
- This is not meant to replace a shell. While it's treated to not soak up water, it's not waterproof

Posted on Dec 27, 2023This is a really great jacket, I have many puffers and this by far my favorite. Keeps you warm and dry. Goes great under a rain shell even though it’s not needed unless it is heavily raining.

Luke was very helpful as I am new to skiing but I feel as if I'm acclimating faster than the average person. I wanted to get something a little more advanced that I could grow into quickly and it also be useful for all-mountain usage. At first I thought I had made my decision prior to talking to him about getting Volkl mantra 88's, but I determined with his help that a larger waist was going to be a more versatile ski for me in the Rockies. A few conversations later, I fell into the Rustler 9's instead of using Volkl mantra 88's or mantra 7's. He really helped push me in the right direction so I could make a targeted approach. I ski in Killington Vt where they are known to have extremely knowledgeable skiers/boarders, coaches etc. and they do to a degree but I will tell you that Ben was more helpful than all of them. I was told so many different things that didn't really line up with what I noticed when I demo'd skis but everything Ben said about the ski's I demo'd was spot on. I am grateful to have found him and will share my experience with others. Great guy - he worked hard and answered more questions that I would imagine he would care to but he answered them all and hung in there with me right through the end. If I am ever in Alaska, I hope to meet him and take some runs with him sometime!
