Quality Outer Layer
Posted on Dec 27, 2023I'll start with the one negative: The fit of this jacket tends to run a little tight in the chest/shoulder area. I originally ordered a L but returned it and ordered an XL. I typically wear a M t-shirt and L for day-to-day outerwear, but this jacket didn't have the mobility in the shoulders and chest that I wanted. My suggestion is order a size up to allow for layers and better mobility. The difference in overall size wasn't that much different (length or width) but there was more room in the shoulders and longer sleeves.
As far as features it has everything a snowboarder or skier would want: dedicated ski pass pocket, plenty of other pockets (great for keeping a phone in), over the thumb cuffs and an internal snowskirt to keep snow from getting inside the jacket between layers. It is insulated too, so it's fairly warm even without being fully layered up underneath.
At sale/clearance price it's a good value.

Ethan helped me find some really great boots that I wouldn't have really even thought of. I haven't purchased new gear in probably 10 years. A LOOOOTTT has changed. He introduced me to the Dalbello Cabrio line 3 piece boots that have more flex, which I really need with my repaired ACL! He's also torn/repaired his, so we had that in common - super helpful. First season back on the slopes since my repair, so I really need something that can handle my moment / easier on my knees. I like the tongue removal component he suggested since I do have a foot with a plate and pins in it as well. Getting into traditional boots is a giant pain! Looking forward to trying these out!!
