The Jones Mind Expander Twin Snowboard is a hybrid Surf Series model that combines the playful, easy-going board feel of the Mind Expander with the freestyle performance of a directional twin shape. This snowboard has a fun-loving personality defined by its friendly flex, tight sidecut, Christenson Surf Camber profile, and 3D Contour Base 3.0. The blunted twin shape and 3D Contour Base make riding switch and buttering pow extra easy while the narrow sidecut and Surf Camber profile offer snappy turn response. With Flax/Basalt Stringers and Traction Tech 3.5 edges for a damp ride and confident edge control on chop or ice, this snowboard is perfect for riders who love to bounce down the mountain hitting every terrain feature in sight.

Ideal for
- Riding switch in the powder.
- Ripping tight turns (small sidecut radius).
- Great for hitting side hits and popping off every feature possible.
Not ideal for
- A little bit of a softer board that struggles at speeds of 45 mph+.
- This is a pow specific twin, not to be confused with a pow board.

Exactly as advertised
Originally posted at www.jonessnowboards.com on Apr 2, 2024I got the Mind Expander Twin in 150, I’m 180cm, 62kg. Here’s my experience so far in different conditions in the West Kootenays BC…
Day 1: hard-packed snow and ice. Not great, quite washy. I was also adapting to this being a shorter board than my previous. I feel my posture needs to be perfect to control this board in hard-packed conditions.
Day 2: 26cm of fresh powder, THIS BOARD WAS SO FUN!!! Super floaty, playful, poppy and I didn’t even set my stance back. A little leg burn in the flats but at speed/steep this board really does float in twin stance!
Day 3: slushy spring conditions…super fun off-piste!
Day 4: snow melted then hardened again for nasty hard-packed tracks. Caught an edge.
I bought the Mind Expander Twin so I could have one board to do it all and it’s great for that. It’s average on hard-packed snow and ice. If you’re at an advanced level you’ll control it fine but at intermediate it’s a challenge. In all other categories…SO MUCH FUN.
