At 5'1" and 110lb, there aren't many splitboards that are suitable for people of my size. This board really stands up though! I ride it in a 147. It was great on the uphill and very compatible with my G3 skins, but where it really shined was the downhill. We had about 8 inches of fresh powder the first day... Read more
Ideal for
- This board feels fantastic on the downhill. The shape lets me float in powder all day.
- The transition from split to standard and back is very smooth.
- Turn initiation is easy and this board could really hold speed on the flat sections of the skin on my way back to the car.
Not ideal for
- It's early season so I haven't gotten to test the board's true merit on steep lines. But I am excited to try.

Best if not only true twin split board out there.
Originally posted at www.jonessnowboards.com on Apr 5, 2024I love the new 157, except it seems the core in one of my board halves has failed (right in front of the front pucks) after only three days of touring. Im sure it is just a fluke and Jones will warrantee it, I hope. I have a 2020 mountain twin split with over 100 days of touring on it with absolutely no issues, so I can only assume I must have gotten a lemon. It did seem way more noodley than my 2020 board as well. The board thickness in the center is also 0.030” thinner on the 2024 model. Not sure if that says anything.
