Very comfortable for average width boots, and a walk mode makes it easier and more comfortable to walk around the parking lot or lodge. These boots are designed for skiing at an intermediate level. They'll work for beginners as long as you keep the buckles loose. The walk mode switch in the back is designed for alpine touring and backcountry skiing, but it can be helpful just for walking back to the car at the end of a long tiring day!
Built with a Custom Adaptive Shell (C.A.S.) these boots were designed to fit well in the major problem areas. Liner has thermo reactive material to form fit to your feet ankles and calves. These boots have a walk mode to keep walking comfortably from the car to the base area to apres. Grip walk soles keep you from slipping while walking as well.
Someone who wants to ski 50/50 resort/backcountry with a boot focused on downhill performance. Tecnica made huge strides this year in regard to making a boot that is all about performance. The asymmetric shell has a thicker inside wall so that you don't lose power in your turns due to boot flex.
If you are interested in doing any backcountry or side-country skiing, these would be a great all-around boot that can charge in and out of bounds. They are a great sweet-spot as far as stiffness goes too - stiff enough to offer support but soft enough to give a little and let you dig in on your turns.
