The Rocky Mountain Growler 20 is a hardtail mountain bike designed for riders looking for a mid-travel all-around trail mountain bike. The Growler sits above the Fusion and Soul in Rocky Mountain's hardtail line-up and uses a lightweight aluminum frame with a more aggressive tapered Zerostack headtube for equally aggressive riding. It is also compatible for use with a dropper seat post.
- Suspension – The Rocky Mountain Growler 20 features an entry level Suntour XCM34 DS front suspension with 130mm. The Sun Tour fork falls below the quality seen on comparable hardtail mountain bikes from Fox or RochShox, but it is a solid entry level fork.
- Microshift Gearing – It has an entry level 1x10 speed gearing package from Microshift that ranks below Shimano's Deore line-up, but it offers a clutch in the rear derailleur for better control over uneven terrain.
- Piston Disc Braking System – The Growler 20 includes a Clarks M2 2 piston disc brake with Shimano 180mm rotors, making it a highly capable entry-level braking system.
- Larger Wheel Size – Its 29-inch wheels are paired with Kenda tires and are tubeless ready. This means better speed and less rolling resistance over cross-country terrain.
