These boots had a quick break-in period that was pretty painless. The boot was quick to pick up because it is almost exactly the same as my normal day-to-day VANS. - Versatility pro: Laces allow for a lot of different feet/arches to fit
- Ease pro: Common feel, quick to adjust
- Durability pro: Takes a beating, Grip holds
Not ideal for
- Water resistant con: Boots do allow cold to creep in on the toes.
- Heel hold con: Heel hold works but could be better, very generic size on holds themselves.

Ideal for
- Comfortable, reliable, stylish, traditional lacing.
- Good mid flexing boot with an overall outstanding comfort.
- Great all around boot to shred anything on the mountain.
Not ideal for
- Vans boots do run a bit bulky and do not always fit into certain brands bindings.
- Once they break in they do tend to become a lot softer and less responsive.
- Laced boots aren't for everyone.
