Theo G tested this product
I have rarely enjoyed a narrow (for Utah), all-mountain ski as much as the Rustler. It carves easily and gracefully yet allows for exceptional turn size and shape variation. It's comfortable off-piste, especially in trees, with an appropriately flexible turn radius and maximum maneuverability.
On groomed snow, the Rustler can lock into a carve and propel the skier into the next... Read more
Ideal for
- Ease of carving
- Maneuverability in all conditions
- Groomed snow exploration
Not ideal for
- Not a powder ski with great flotation
- Might be a bit flexible for those looking for a stiff carver

The 2023 Rustler 9 can be your one ski quiver if you are on the East Coast, without a doubt. It is a great option for those out west who stick to groomers, and it can handle some fresh snow too. It is one of the top mountain options for intermediate- to advanced-level skiers who are searching for a versatile... Read more

- Performs well in most terrain
- Playful
- Great carver for the mid-width all mountain category

The Blizzard Rustler 9 is a narrow, playful all-mountain ski that is perfect for Eastern skiers looking to explore off the beaten (or groomed) path or the Western skier looking for all mountain skis for when it hasn not snowed in a while. Capable of carving on hard pack, the Rustler 9 shines in boot top powder and softer snow.... Read more
Ideal for
- Deep Rocker lines make for a ski the floats very well for its width in softer snow.
- Great for Eastern off-piste skiing
- Athletic intermediate to Expert skiers who like to ski in the bumps and trees
Not ideal for
- Not as much as responsive to aggressive carving input as skis with more camber

Great Intermediate to Advanced Ski!
Posted on Dec 28, 2023Purchased last seasons 2023 Rustler 9 (188) on-sale for the 2024 season. So far I’ve skied them 5 days from A-basin to Ski Cooper with no complaints. Coming from rental skis I was blown away by the versatile performance of these skis. They are super playful and fun to zoom down Greens but also confidence inspiring at handling black diamond mogul fields and tree runs. I would say they work great as a one ski quiver or “all mountain ski” and are perfect for anything but the deepest of powder. I am an intermediate to advanced skier and I fully recommend these skis!

Erik was great!
5 /5
Erik was very helpful in assisting me to pick out my first pair of skis and ski bindings! I am an intermediate-level skier but have always used rental skis, so when looking to buy my own, I didn't have much of a knowledge-base. Erik was very helpful in answering my questions and with narrowing down which skis would be a good fit for me, taking into consideration my height/weight, skill level, skiing strengths and weaknesses, and price range. Thank you very much, Erik!

Super Informative and Quick to Reply

This was my first time buying snow sport gear of any kind. Tyler used the information I gave him to give me some really great choices and get me all set up with a board, bindings, and a helmet. He was very responsive to my questions and had recommendations for sizes and settings that I would not have been able to figure out on my own. He was great!

Brandon Nailed My Snowboard Setup!

Brandon was awesome! He helped me choose the perfect snowboard gear, a Burton Cartographer with boots and bindings. He made sure everything fit perfectly and even scored me a great deal. Super pumped with my setup, the setup worked perfect for Midwest and East coast riding! Thanks, Brandon!

Tyler was super helpful!
5 /5
Tyler made great recommendations and really took the time to understand where my skill level is at and where I intend to ski. Ultimately, I was uncomfortable making the investment without trying the skis first, so I ended up buying a pair that I had rented several times and really liked. I had so many questions and came very close to purchasing skis a few months ago but now I that I have nearly finished this season I have a better idea of what I was looking for!

Exactly the advice I needed to pick the right gear

Nico helped me decide what length Atomic Mavens to get and bindings. He helped me decide that these skis will work on East Coast ice and Jackson Hole powder. I wish Curated was sticking around because it's such a great service. My cousin bought skis bindings and boots last year with curated and is stoked.

Great help.

Tyler helped to reassure me on the board I have been eying, while also suggesting the best options for boots and bindings; he never tried to push the most expensive option, but rather gave me a number of choices to consider for myself (and in fact, recommended a cheaper boot option than the one I went with!). He was a great help and I feel confident that he helped me make a solid purchase.

Additional Board
5 /5
I was looking at updating my board and was just looking around. After a quick chat with John to narrow down which board to pick, he made it easier than going into a store. He helped out with an additional discount that no other website could beat. Too hard to pass up a great deal, I bought the board and bindings. Cheers to debuting it before the season ends!

She knew exactly what I was looking for...
5 /5
I already knew what skis I was trying to find, based on the conditions I wanted to ski and also based on my skill level. Not only did she recommend the exact skis that I had been looking for, but she also recommended a better set of bindings than the ones I had previously thought were a good fit. I love that she's a neighbor over in VT while I'm in NH, so she knows East Coast (Ice Coast) skiing like I do. I'm so excited for the deal I just landed on brand new 2025 skis, and I have Shannon to thank for helping me narrow down the perfect fit. I'm just so sad to hear this amazing company is closing its doors, but while the deals are good and before they go, I will be recommending them to everyone I know! Thanks again, Shannon! Happy skiing!

Noah helped me tremendously. I kind of knew what I wanted but by asking the right questions, he helped point me in the best direction for my changing skill level and age and kind of terrain I'd be skiing more since moving to a different state. He took everything into account. He gave me choices for each item I wanted---skis, bindings, poles---and put together a perfect curation! I'm super stoked to be able to take advantage of the discounts of course, but I never would've been able to do that or even find such great equipment without Noah's help!
