I love this ski so much that I have purchased it twice (in 2015 and 2022), and consider it to be the perfect all mountain charger and daily driver! If you are an advanced-expert skier who likes to drive your ski, appreciates a ski that makes you work a bit, and has no top speed, you will love this ski and it will reward you for the effort and energy you put into it. The Bonafide is strong, powerful and damp ski that requires a strong skier to ski it, though the new model is a bit more forgiving and approachable than the previous iterations. It will lay trenches in groomers, bust through crud and variable snow, and rebound you out of a turn when it is fully loaded. It is incredibly stable at high speeds, absorbing chatter and vibrations. As a former racer and now coach, I love how this ski performs in all but the deepest of powder days.
- The Bonafide is a very strong, damp, and stable all-mountain ski.
- The Bonafide is a relatively stiff, powerful, hard charging ski, but the flex pattern is very smooth.
- The Bonafide will confidently carve trenches on groomers, bust crud and variable snow.
- This is not a ski for intermediates.
- It is not heavy like a race ski, but it is not light either.
- You must have some technique to truly appreciate what this ski can offer, however this model is much more approachable than previous models.
The Blizzard Bonafide 97 Skis are the ultimate all-conditions daily driver for committed skiers. These skis are designed to attack the mountain with grace and precision, making them perfect for crushing through crud, laying it down on hard pack, or navigating your way through untouched pow in the trees. The TrueBlend Woodcore specifically targets the flex throughout the ski, with a softer tip and tail that keeps you nimble. Denser wood underfoot acts like a gas pedal, giving you power and drive when you want to charge. Combined with a versatile sidecut and reduced rocker profile, these skis are engineered to keep you skiing confidently even on those less-than-perfect days.
Key Features:
- TrueBlend Woodcore: The TrueBlend Woodcore is designed to target flex throughout the ski for maximum performance.
- Versatile Sidecut: The versatile sidecut allows for easy maneuverability in any condition.
- Reduced Rocker Profile: The reduced rocker profile provides stability and control at high speeds.
- All-Mountain Versatility: These skis are perfect for all-mountain skiing in any condition.
- Austrian Engineering: Made with Austrian engineering expertise and real-world testing to ensure top-notch performance.
