OVERVIEW Foundation Jacket A true fan-favorite featuring iconic Obermeyer design, REPREVE® recycled materials, and versatile cold-weather capability. As one of our most popular styles, the Foundation Jacket is a versatile piece of skiwear made for days on the mountain. We've built this jacket with bold, sport-inspired Obermeyer design, as well as high-performance technology like HydroBlock® Pro fabric and Skier Critical seam sealing. To protect against the elements on your coldest days, we've added 100gm insulation to the body and 80gm insulation in the sleeves. Reinforced shoulders provide rugged, everyday durability. All of this combines with REPREVE® fibers, with each Foundation Jacket containing 11 plastic bottles worth of recycled material.

This jacket has features that the expensive jackets have; removable hood, thumb sleeve, snow skirt, pit vents and pockets in and out of the coat. Some reviews complain about the zipper but I could only see a problem if you're rough with it. I'm 6', 180 pounds and the large is perfect fit with room for base layer. For the price, this is a nice jacket.

Ethan helped me find some really great boots that I wouldn't have really even thought of. I haven't purchased new gear in probably 10 years. A LOOOOTTT has changed. He introduced me to the Dalbello Cabrio line 3 piece boots that have more flex, which I really need with my repaired ACL! He's also torn/repaired his, so we had that in common - super helpful. First season back on the slopes since my repair, so I really need something that can handle my moment / easier on my knees. I like the tongue removal component he suggested since I do have a foot with a plate and pins in it as well. Getting into traditional boots is a giant pain! Looking forward to trying these out!!
