The Flylow Men's Firebird Bib Pants are for the skier or snowboarder looking for a pair of medium weight, uninsulated, waterproof, and breathable bibs for skiing in deep snow, in or out of bounds. Made from waterproof and breathable fabrics, these bibs keep the wearer dry while allowing sweat to evaporate outward. These bibs also feature reinforced cuffs, boot gaiters, six zippered pockets, side-leg ventilation zippers, and snaps for integrating a powder skirt.

Key Features:

  • Waterproof Breathable Membrane - The 3-layer hardshell fabric from Intuitive features a 10k/10k Waterproof Breathable Membrane. This is moderate waterproofing and breathability that will keep the wearer dry both inside and out under most conditions. The waterproofing is further bolstered by fully-taped seams and waterproof zippers.
  • Durable Water Repellent (DWR) - The industry standard for outerwear, a DWR coating adds another layer of waterproofing, helping to keep the wearer dry, and is made from a more environmentally-friendly PFC-free polymer.
  • Mobility Fit - Articulated knee boxes, supple fabrics, adjustable suspenders, and hook-and-loop tabs around the waist allow the wearer to customize their fit for free, natural movement on and off the slopes.

Firebird Bib

Originally posted at flylowgear.com on Feb 19, 2024
Overall the quality was good and the bib had lots of pockets, but the sizing was tough. I’m 6’2” and 215 lbs but the large was too tight around mid section around the ribs. This was with the adjusting strap loosened. Got the XL which are better, but the waist is too wide. Not bad as I’d rather have room to move and not feel constricted. Maybe find a way to give more custom fit in certain sections of the bib would help.

I've been shopping on curated and bouncing ideas off of Alex for some time now, never actually pulling the trigger. My budget has been hit and miss and often I've had to forego new in favor of used when it finally comes to the purchase. Alex has always been so helpful and ready to give advice on what gear is going to be best for me. I'm sure he'll be shocked when he sees I finally made a purchase 😅 thanks bud!

I've been looking to add new skis to my quiver after demoing Rossignal powder skis in Utah. I liked the demos but wasn't sure if they were the right choice. Tucker shared a few similar skis and one was the Atomic skis I had also demoed in WY. I settled on the Rossignal and Ticker also setup a bundle with recommended bindings for the skis. Overall, a great experience while making a sizable investment to enhance my skiing experience.
