The Alpha jacket is perfect for passionate skiers who don't want to pack a lot for adventures. In fact, it's the go-to jacket for Swedish Ski Alpine Team. Like always, it has the thoughtful technical details that keep you comfortable all day on the mountainside. Underarm vents enable you to regulate your body temperature during high output skiing. A PFC-free, water-repellent treatment protects you from light precipitation. The hood is detachable and helmet compatible. Originally posted at www.hellyhansen.com on Sep 7, 2024I ordered this because I wanted fully taped and waterproofed zippers, and my alpha 3.0 was getting both too loose and beginning to lose its warmth. I was sad to see the fleece lining inside the collar on my alpha 3.0 is replaced with a microfabric that isn't as soft or warm, and that the inside of the green jacket was a bright garish yellow. Subjective but it wasn't for me.
