This binding is ideal for resort skiers who also like a little touring, side-country and for sure resort uphill travel. It is not the lightest touring setup, but instead gives you 100% downhill performance. There is zero question about how secure you will feel skiing down as this is a fully certified DIN binding.
Ideal for
- Light weight for the uphill or touring mode. Also has an easy to use heal lift for the steeper terrain.
- Fully DIN certified downhill performance perfect for downhill
- Exceptionally easy to transition from uphill to downhill
Not ideal for
- The 10 DIN version is good for lighter skiers
- Not for anyone with a DIN setting over 7

Originally posted at www.salomon.com on Feb 14, 2023[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought these about a month ago, I am completely new to AT and based in the northeast so these made perfect sense to me splitting my time between resort skiing and touring. I have used my setup a few times now and I’m a fan of the bindings. I had to watch a few videos to help understand shifting between the ski and walk mode but now it’s become very easy and intuitive.

Awesome Binding
Originally posted at www.salomon.com on Jan 13, 2022[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to build a "quiver of one" ski setup. It's incredible downhill and meets the needs for uphill. The front lever is a little tough to "lock in" uphill. I would practice at home first.

You know when a ski isn’t quite right and one you used to have was perfect? Well, I used a lot of words that I’m not sure are used to describe skiing, and he completely understood me. The road led back to a brand I love and a ski that seemed to be the new and improved version of one that I lost years ago. Although I was ultimately ready to spend whatever it took to find the best ski, he worked with me for all ranges… full price and sales. I feel I was able to make an educated decision. His written description of the skis were all super helpful. I can’t wait to get these babies under foot.

I mean, have you heard of Vince. Cause if you haven’t then boy oh boy, you truly are missing out. This dude was by far the best curator/beautiful human I have ever encountered through my telephone screen. Words can’t describe the joy he brought me along with his amazing smile. I mean are we serious. Having this man answer questions behind a phone screen is a disservice to humanity. This guy needs a ginormous raise or a massive promotion to become the spokesperson for this company. I’d invite him to my wedding if I was to ever have one. Dude definitely has a future in owning his own company or just being an all around amazing dude. We need more Vince’s in the world cause to be honest there truly just are not enough. He's extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of snowboarding (female/male gear, beginner/expert, mobility restrictions, etc.). He listened to all my concerns and questions and responded in a timely manner each time! He even checked up on me and asked to help me through the process of making a choice in gear. He never tried to up sell me or force me into something I didn't like/the more expensive or newer version. He only made recommendations based on my specific needs and wants.
