The shift is a perfect binding for the resort skier who wants to venture into the backcountry but doesn't want to commit to a full tech pin binding. In uphill mode, it carries the simplicity and reliability of a dedicated tech pin touring binding without sacrificing the confidence-inspiring alpine-style binding for the downhill. I was stoked when this binding came... Read more

This binding is ideal for resort skiers who also like a little touring, side-country and for sure resort uphill travel. It is not the lightest touring setup, but instead gives you 100% downhill performance. There is zero question about how secure you will feel skiing down as this is a fully certified DIN binding.

The Salomon shift is a great option for someone who wants a touring binding that is light and performs well on the uphill but also feels like a more traditional alpine binding on the decent. The shift is a hybrid alpine and touring binding. The toe piece converts from a pin/tech set up into a traditional downhill alpine binging. This... Read more

So far so good
Originally posted at www.salomon.com on Feb 14, 2023[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought these about a month ago, I am completely new to AT and based in the northeast so these made perfect sense to me splitting my time between resort skiing and touring. I have used my setup a few times now and I’m a fan of the bindings. I had to watch a few videos to help understand shifting between the ski and walk mode but now it’s become very easy and intuitive.

Awesome Binding
Originally posted at www.salomon.com on Jan 13, 2022[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to build a "quiver of one" ski setup. It's incredible downhill and meets the needs for uphill. The front lever is a little tough to "lock in" uphill. I would practice at home first.

I don't know much when it comes to snowboard gear and I was really hesitant to to pick out a few specific boards to try and decide between, but josh gave me a Hollar and was able to help me not only give me boards to decide between, but gave me recommendations between all the gear I will need. Josh is absolutely fantastic and deserves a raise.

Been looking to get some skis for a long time and I was hesitant to pull the trigger. Eventually, my new company offered me a wellness credit that included fitness and ski reimbursement. I came back to Curated and Jonathan updated my curation for me. Great experience as he was super knowledgeable and friendly.

I have never heard of curated until I searched it up for the first time and had no idea that they match you with a REAL expert with years of experience. My experience with Aimee was fantastic and i’m not lying for the review. She was very helpful and friendly as I am new to all of it. We came to a conclusion about gear and prices and it all fit perfectly for me. I definitly hope more people get matched with her as she was a great help. Thanks again and I appreciate the great advice.

I love that Curated puts you in touch with a real expert. I filled out the profile, quickly heard from Sarah and had a personalized list of snowboards to choose from. Having researched the boards, I found Sarah's comments and suggestions were spot on with what other riders stated about the recommended boards.
