SOOO MUCH FUN!!!!

I took a couple years off snowboarding and finally got back into it last season riding some old and borrowed equipment. Today was opening day and I had a blast on this board!!! Super easy to press, and has a lot of pops off of knuckles around the mountain. The true twin made riding switch a breeze. This is obviously a park oriented board with a lot of flex just as I was hoping for! My biggest con is that I am going to have to buy another ROME board!!! This is only to handle some of the choppier steeps this season. I took it on a very bumpy black today and it just doesn't have the stability and stiffness to really charge down that terrain, which is exactly as I expected and not at all why I bought this board. I bought this board to get loose with it, butter, spin, and hit the park. Can’t wait for the features to start getting pupped into the park this season so that this board can show me what its made of!

Playful board with lots of attitude
Originally posted at romesnowboards.com on Feb 27, 2024I bought this board as a replacement to my full camber stiff directional bomber and boy is it super different! Flex is exactly what I’m looking for. It’s very playful, flexes right over small moguls or slashes right through them.
The playfulness does mean that it’s a little sketchy down steeps, and through choppy stuff. Pretty easy to slip out if you’re not locked in.
Edge hold also leaves a lot at the door on hard pack. But I didn’t buy this board to be an all mountain slayer (even though it’s pretty good at it), I bought it to be a fun board, and it delivers.

Ethan helped me find some really great boots that I wouldn't have really even thought of. I haven't purchased new gear in probably 10 years. A LOOOOTTT has changed. He introduced me to the Dalbello Cabrio line 3 piece boots that have more flex, which I really need with my repaired ACL! He's also torn/repaired his, so we had that in common - super helpful. First season back on the slopes since my repair, so I really need something that can handle my moment / easier on my knees. I like the tongue removal component he suggested since I do have a foot with a plate and pins in it as well. Getting into traditional boots is a giant pain! Looking forward to trying these out!!
