These mid-sized irons are Grain Flow Forged from a single billet of 4120 Chromoly for a unique soft feel that Mizuno is known for. The 3rd generation of Chromoly Forging incorporates a milling slot that extends wider to heel and toe, paired with an even thinner clubface to create our highest one-piece forged ball speeds from an even greater portion of the clubface. The irons showcase a thinner top line throughout, plus compact scoring irons (8-GW) and bevelled sole for improved turf interaction.

These Irons are, without a doubt an, absolute game changer. They are made for a more advanced golfer, but a newer golfer could also benefit from these. They offer a fantastic feel, forgiveness, and distance. I've never hit an iron of this caliber so far before. The ball really flies off this face, and its beyond impressive.

The Mizuno JPX923 Forged iron set is perfect for a mid-handicapper. It includes a small amount of everything to help players who need to improve their iron game. It has forgiveness outside of the center and plenty of distance to help reach yardage. The irons are also easy to control launch angle too.

How do these irons compare to the JPX923 Hot Metal Irons in terms of feel?

Compared to the Hot Metal series, the JPX 923 Forged irons should have a better feeling. The club head is a little smaller with less forgiveness, trusting that players will find the center of the face on most strikes. In those cases, the irons should feel better, but outside of the face striked may be punished.

Are they forgiving on mishits?

The Mizuno JPX923 Forged irons set is forgiving on most mishits. The club size is in a middle category where it is bigger than a players iron and smaller than a game improving iron. Mishits on the toe and heel will be forgiving, staying straight and carry almost as long as square strikes. However, really bad mishits may be penalized.
