It’s no wonder that the V1 Classic has such longevity in Volkl’s lineup. It has a nice mix of usable power, maneuverability, and arm friendly construction. It was always going to be a little overmatched for me when playing 5.0 level players so I wouldn’t personally choose it, but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it for a wide range of players looking for a racquet they won’t outgrow right away. The Volkl V1 Classic is a racquet that makes the game of tennis easy for beginner to intermediate level players and yet they can keep using it as they improve a lot. It does so many things well without any glaring issues or standout characteristics and should suit a variety of playing styles.

The V1 Classic lives on as one of the most iconic racquets of all time and for good reason. Even after 25 years the amazing feel and playability of the V1 Classic makes believers of nearly everyone who tries it.

The V1 Classic features Vario Beam Technology, Big Grommets and Dual Dampening Grip. It weighs 285g / 10.1oz, has a 660cm2 / 102in2 head, 25-22-28mm Vario beam with a 68.5cm / 27in length and a 32.5cm / 0.7in head light balance. It has an 16x19 string pattern.

The V1 Classic offers a soft, but crisp feel which can be fine-tuned to the user's needs possibly better than any other racquet on the market just with changes in string and tension adjustments. The spin and power potential of the V1 Classic make it a great choice for virtually all players.
