A 3 Iron I can hit straight
Originally posted at www.callawaygolf.com on Apr 1, 2023I have the 3 and the 4 Great Big Bertha (GBB) Hybrids, both are accurate unlike my 3 and 4 Irons. I use them with full swing or choke up for shorter shots giving me a range from 160 - 210 yards. These are bottom weighted and are adjustable, I have mine set at standard loft angle with a draw bias. I can hit between the sand traps and roll onto the green instead of being short and then hit a 40 yard chip shot. They cut through the rough too! Most hybrids are made for the fairways and are thin compared to irons. Therefore, in the tall grass it is easy to go under the ball making a sky shot. I have not had that problem with the thicker GBB Hybrids. Also, choke up for the flat sand shots and hit it 190 yards.
I only use my 3 and 5 woods, also GBB's, on wide open holes for distance where accuracy is not so important. Even then it's only 20-30 yards.
All of the new Great Big Bertha (GBB) clubs are the best I have ever used including the Hybrids. The technology is incredible. They help me play a better game. Hitting a long ball accurately makes a big difference and takes the frustration out of so many missed and short shots. The bottom line is making good shots makes the game a lot more fun to play!
