My favorite ski
Originally posted at www.icelanticskis.com on Jan 7, 2023I have never left a review for any product in my life. But these are worth breaking the mold. They handle deeps snow with ease and cut easily through tight trees. I have no problem taking them down onto icy groomers to meet up with the family. My favorite ski.

Aptly Named
Originally posted at www.icelanticskis.com on Jan 4, 2021After previously owning the Vanguards and not really getting along with them, I was hesitant to try another Icelantic backcountry ski. However, the Natural 111 seemed to have everything I was looking for in a fatter touring ski so I gave them a shot. After about a year of ownership, this turned out to be an excellent decision.
‘Natural’ perfectly describes their personality, because everything feels intuitive and easy. The tips float very well in deep snow, even when driving from an aggressive forward stance (24" is the deepest they have seen). They are able to carve long powerful arcs or easily pivot and scrub speed in tight spaces. They can be skied quite hard without feeling like a typical flimsy touring ski, but they also don’t punish you for momentary lapses in technique (which I’m prone to when the snow gets a little crusty). Even on sketchy iced up ‘singletrack skiing’ exits these did much better than expected.
The weight is also impressive for their dimensions and how solid they feel. I haven’t really noticed any difference in perceived effort between these and my 97mm touring skis while on the skintrack. For reference, these have Tectons mounted (great match).
I honestly haven't found any drawbacks to these skis yet. If there's soft snow in the backcountry, these will be in their element. I don’t use this setup inbounds, so can’t comment there.
In short, I will ski these things until they die (which will probably take a while, since they’re Icelantics).

Jonny is a great help
5 /5
I came to Jonny without knowing too much about what kind of profile and gear I needed to best fit my riding style and progression. After only a few questions Jonny was already locking in the perfect setup for me. I appreciate Jonny’s attentiveness and knowledgeability in helping me find the perfect balance.

Came back 2 times because I wanted to soak up all the knowledge he was giving. I know I was pissing him off w/ all my questions and he kept it cool and walked me thru everything I needed. He got me to purchase a brand new board by trusting his advice and I’m stoked to strap in and shred w/ it. THANK YOU PRESTON.. now it’s time to retire the old Burton 64 floater that I purchased for 85$

Going on a snowboard trip with my wife next month and this is her first snow trip since she was younger. I really wanted her to feel comfortable in her own gear but make sure she got something that fits her level and dims. Ryan was super friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. Will definitely be coming back next season for a new setup for myself. Thanks Ryan!
