Originally posted at k2snow.com on Dec 8, 2024So I have 4 pairs between my wife and my boards. We ride with the high backs off and honestly don't need them for 90% of what we do. The system is hyper responsive - you are connected at the sole of the boot - it's hard to go back to straps. The Burton system is prone to heal lift (not inside the boot) this makes the K2 a better system IMO. I have one engineering modification request that improved the high backs on my carving board see pic - I cut the unnecessary section of the heel section out to reduce the heel drag by over an inch, and allow for high back edge matching. Take a look at the pic - you should do this.

Best Boot Ever
Originally posted at k2snow.com on Dec 8, 2024I killed a pair of Maysis Clickers after 40 days and got a deep (partial warranty) discount on the Kamas. I like the wrap around inner and overall comfort of the boot. The Clicker system is hyper responsive, and I ride with the high backs removed in an Excavator - the pairing is unbelievable - like an extension of my body. The durability seems to be a step up from the Maysis. I have a super high instep and thin shins - I add shin Shims to fill out the space. I've been riding for 40 years and these are the best boots and system I have have ever used.
