Ideal for

One of the most forgiving irons of all the brands new offerings.
Excellent and easy launch. Steel shafts create stability but not too heavy, which allows for good feedback and speed.
Distance is amazing. Combined with forgiveness that makes these clubs formidable.

Not ideal for

A little more bulky than the traditional players club.
Thicker topline might be off putting
Harder to work the club left and right.

Incredible distance iron.
Super easy to launch very high in the air for golfers who struggle to get carry distance or launch.
A generous amount of offset for golfers needing help squaring club up at impact.

Not ideal for

Super long distance might lead to golfers needing to reconfigure their bags and fill gaps.

What's the main difference between these and the regular Paradym Irons?

The Callaway Paradym X Iron Set and the regular Callaway Paradym irons have their unique differences while being geared toward different skills levels. The Paradym X iron set will favor the eye of the player who likes the look of a players iron which means the club will have a more traditional appearance at address. This construction will also promote more distance and versality. The versality will allow for more shaping and control for hitting various golf shots. On the other hand the Paradym Irons have a thicker appearance at address because it is a game improvement iron. Like the Paradym X Irons it will promote distance, but instead of versality it will promote more forgiveness for the golfer. The Paradym X Irons will also come with more offset that will help golfers to reduce a slice they may have, but in effect it will be harder to hit fades and draws with these irons. If you need more forgiveness, distance, and slice reducing capabilities it would be better suited you look toward the Paradym X Irons. If you are looking for more forgiveness, versatility and a players shaped iron the Paradym Irons would be the better choice for this type of golfer.

How is the performance on long and short irons?

The Callaway Paradym X Iron Set boasts an incredible amount of distance. This is from top to bottom from the 5 iron, all the way down to the wedges. This is great for a player who may struggle a little bit with distance, but could make it a bit harder to control those long irons from a ways out.

These clubs have an incredible feel and increased accuracy. I had the Rogue X irons with steel shafts. Loved those clubs and had them for 5 years. Although I have not gained any distance my accuracy is much better. The Project X Hzrdus feel so much better than steel and my 74 year old body is not hurting as much after a round. Tried other irons but nothing came close to the Paradym X. Kept the A wedge from my Rogue X set to save a buck. Big mistake. I will be trading that club in for a Paradym A wedge shortly.

“Updated review” I left a one star review on these irons in the past but the more I use theses irons they should have an option for 0 stars…3 of these irons have broke on me now in the middle of golfing absolutely unacceptable… warranty department is good with replacement other then that I wouldn’t recommend these to anyone I will be switching away from callaway permanently after this disaster with the irons

Ryan is knowledgeable and patient, and I enjoyed working with him. You could give him more ability to be flexible with pricing, and I feel like I was burned a little by you guys offering 10% all over the place, but it "ran out" and Ryan was not able to get me the 10% but had o go back and forth with his manager to get a measly 4%. For example, when I signed up I had a 10% voucher, which I did not know ran out...then it did. Then you had a 10% for Black Friday and a 10% for Cyber Monday and in both cases I thought those deals would last longer...but they didn't. I bought golf clubs which means I had to try out the models I was looking at locally...which took some time.

I googled the set of clubs and the same set came up cheaper, Jon spent time trying to see if we could price match. unfortunately the sale price must have expired, because neither of us could access the set to order, UGH! but I was able to check prices and know that this was the best price.
