The Callaway Paradym Irons are perfect for mid-handicappers. Also it is important to remember that you have the Paradym and the Paradym X. The Paradym are a very forgiving club set that in my opinion focuses more on game improvement than the Callaway Paradym X. I tested the Paradym X before buying the Paradym's and the X series seems to be much more concerned with distance than other facets of the game. I would recommend the Paradym Irons to almost any handicap as long as they are an avid golfer looking to improve and have the budget and swing style to where the Paradym Irons make sense. - Paradym Irons - if you are playing golf weekly or several times a week and scoring under 100 occasionally, these clubs are definitely game improving clubs and I think any mid-handicapper (10-20) would see improved play all over the course. This is because the Paradym's are a set that is soft, forgiving irons with a large sweet spot and a low center of gravity. If you have found your swing but need to upgrade your irons these would be a perfect choice if they are in your budget. - Paradym X Irons - these seem to be all about distance, and I believe you lose some control and different aspects of the Paradym set in terms of game improvement (Handicap between 8-15)

The Callaway Paradym irons are ideal for wide range of handicaps. It falls in the game improvement category so definitely offers fast ball speeds and forgiveness. The forged 455 face provides a premium feel and with its less offset and thinner top line than the X model, lower handicaps wouldn't mind having this club in the bag. Handicaps between 8-16 would be the ideal range.

What category does the Callaway Paradym Irons fit into, Game-Improvement or Super Game-Improvement?

As someone who consistently hits between 78-95 I would say that they are game-improvement or super game-improvement depending how much you like hitting irons and if you are comfortable with the club face and design of irons. I would rather hit a 9 iron on a shorter hole even if a driver or wood could be used because I feel as though I get more control. With these Paradym's not only am I getting a consistent landing spot every shot but I am getting more distance, more power, and more speed control. The Feel of the clubs has me playing with confidence. The low center of gravity and the single forged steel hollow body club head and face not only provide me with a larger sweet spot but they give me more control over how I am launching the ball (arch vs laser like shot) and spin control (backspin on the green or spinning the ball on dog legs). I would not say my game is always SUPER, I would say that I am somewhere in the middle, and these Irons have definitely improved my consistency, my ability to safely reach greens, and to try new spin shots I would not have attempted previously.

It is neither, it is close to a players irons than game improvement. Their is tungsten in the club head which is a definitely a feature of most game improvement irons, but the Paradym irons are more so for players in the single handicap category even up to scratch golfer level.

The Callaway Paradym Iron is classified as a “players distance“ iron. It is packed with tons or forgiveness and technology but in a smaller, player type of iron head. The lofts are on the strong side which will help gain you distance. I would bag to differ that it would not fit within a game improvement nor super game improvement. They are easy to hit, but are at no means a big headed iron. High handicap and low handicap players can both benefit from the playability of the Callaway Paradym Iron.

These Irons are going to be one the most game-improving irons on the market. Despite their bladed look, they are in large part a cavity-back with an astounding feel, incredible forgiveness, and tighter dispersion across all metrics.

The best category to put these irons in would be player performance irons, since the typical set is tailored to the mid to low handicap golfer. Between a Game-Improvement set and Super Game-Improvement set, the Paradym would be closer to a Game-Improvement set. The main factor that contributes to this classification is there is no high launch loft on the Paradym irons that you would typically see on Super Game-Improvement iron sets.

The Callaway Paradym's are not light on the budget but Golf is expensive and you do not get better by buying cheap, poorly made clubs. Being someone who takes their golf game seriously the value for the money makes theses far and away worth the purchase. Since I have started using these Irons I have cut 4-5 strokes off every round I have played.

These are a little more expensive than the other competitors don't get me wrong, but they are generational irons in my opinion. If you compare these irons to Taylormade, they are about $15 more ($200 - $185), but because these irons have new technology they are going to define what Callaway puts out for the next several years.

What do you love about this product?

I would say my favorite thing about the Paradym Irons is the semi-hollow body forged club face. Not only does it make a great sound when you strike the ball right on, but the design research and development came up with in conjunction with AI has given me Irons with the biggest sweet spot I have ever owned. - The inner workings of the semi-hollow design when you look at them on a website give you a great idea of where you want to be striking the ball, and how if you are off on your downswing and follow through the milled face and weight distribution will keep you from shooting the ball all over the course. - For my style of play I need a club with good feel and a low center of gravity that keeps me consistent and even when I strike the ball on my down swing and the low weight club keeps my backswing consistent and I am not wobbling after I strike the ball. These irons offer more distance, more speed, more launch control and more spin control. - I have been happy with the launch trajectory - it hasn't been as high arching as my previous irons, and it allows me to cut through strong winds or if I am in a bad spot I can strike the ball hard and keep it below the tree line. I am not excellent as spinning the ball, but these Paradym's have certainly given me more confidence coming into dog legs and other course designs that require some curvature on a shot. - The Milled Face also keeps morning dew or water from impacting where the ball goes after I shoot it. I would say my favorite iron in the set is the 9-Iron. I am getting fairway wood type distance with my 9 iron and I have played on some slow wet greens and I have even managed to get some backspin on the ball and bring it back towards the hole. These Irons are a great set for an avid golfer who is already playing a lot and wants to see their Iron play improve. Not recommended for Beginners.

These irons feel like they could be players irons, they have some forgiveness built in but shaping shots and controlling spin are very plausible to do with these irons. These irons also go a mile, every since I started hitting them my iron distances have increased significantly by 10-15 yards for each iron. They are truly amazing and I highly recommend them for people who are in the single handicap range.

After a ton of research about which irons to get, these seemed to be the most effective with the forgiveness that I needed as a golfer. These irons are truly a new generation in my honest opinion, they will go down as some of the best game improvement player irons there are.

My favorite moment with the new Paradym Irons was easily curving my SuperSoft ball around a dog leg and having enough spin on the ball that although I was on the edge of the green I was able to spin the ball back 2-3 feet back towards the hole.

Was out on a course a few weeks ago, and I hit a 7 iron 185 to about 5 feet from the pin where it spun back and almost went in. Imagine hitting a 7 iron 185 yards.

Ball flight can be impacted by loft adjustments and what shaft is in the club, but when it comes to the type of ball flight that the Callaway Paradym irons create, it creates a mid to high ball flight. The Paradym irons features internal and external tungsten weighting placed low and around the perimeter of the club head to improve launch heights.

Depending on your size, power, swing and strength all of these variables will determine how the ball flies after contact. For me I was having an issue with my irons arching too much, like a rainbow. I wanted Irons that if I hit the ball where I wanted to that I could keep the launch to 15-20 feet high and on a line. I cannot tell you since I have purchased them how many times I have hit it off the tee into the first edge of the tree line and I have been able to use my 7 Iron to blast the ball out without ever worrying my ball is going to arch too high and go into the trees above my head. You can still produce that arching shot with great backspin control if you are on a short Par 3, you just need to know your irons (how you hit them and how they lie. which works best for your type of swing to produce the results desired.).
