Union's Force model has always been a popular and classic model, synonymous with Union itself. This new Force has been completely redesigned and released. The highback and ankle strap is made by layering five different materials. I've just tried it on, and while it holds firmly, it doesn't hurt or feel too tight. It gently envelops the entire foot. The feeling underfoot is excellent. The toe side responds as usual, bending when pressed, but it's incredibly interesting. The carving and the sensation of pressing down with the sole of the foot while running are fascinating. I'm also enjoying the intricate turns while sliding. The strap in the new model should not be a concern. For soft boards, the response might be too strong, but I like using this binding with soft boards. Force is excellent for carving. It comfortably allows for curves and freerunning. The ankle strap feels gentle yet provides a secure position. It has a great degree of freedom and is fun to use. This time's highlight is the feeling and hold of the ankle strap. The footbed's thickness, hardness are good, responding well when pressed. The toe-side edging is easy to handle. Compared to Atlas, it allows for more flexible use of the feet. For carving with a hard board, Atlas might be more interesting, but the new Force offers flexibility and gentleness. It's a binding I highly recommend, providing good suspension at the heel. It's flexible yet transmits power effectively.
