Ideal for
- Fine enough to really dial in espresso
- Great for the user looking to measure their dose and then grind
- Simple, no frills, but does it's job-and does it well
Not ideal for
- The grind isn't lightning quick
- The hopper shakes a tad when it grinds
- Doesn't have a doser/timer- not ideal for those not measuring their beans before grinding

I love this grinder! It has 40 grind settings, with 20 of them dedicated to espresso. I use this in combination with my manual lever Flair 58 espresso machine, which requires a finer grind compared to semi-automatics. Not ideal for
- The machine can be loud. It's even louder when using the single dose cup.
- The hopper shakes and the lid pops off during grinding.
- There is some level of retention that requires purging between grind adjustments.

Great budget espresso grinder
Posted on Jan 27, 2024I was looking into the original Baratza encore grinder but ended up spending a little more to get this one that is made for espresso. I am so glad I did. I have only used the espresso made dials so far for lattes at home so I am glad I went with this one.
