Orca is an all-around board that's great for powder and also good in carving on groomed slopes. In terms of size options, Lib Tech's Orca is the only model with a full lineup, accommodating riders of all genders and heights. It has a strong double camber design. Its edges are Magne-Traction, ensuring solid grip even with the double camber, making it perfect for carving. It’s moderately heavy, which adds to its acceleration and propulsion, especially noticeable at the start. It's a fat-short design, which typically gives the impression of being slow on groomed runs, but the Orca, with its double camber, has less resistance and is fast. The double camber also makes it supremely maneuverable. The board’s firmness and thickness effectively shred through snow, requiring good knee and thigh strength. Compared to other fat-short boards, the Orca's double camber provides superior buoyancy. When choosing a size, I'd recommended to go 3 to 6cm shorter than usual. The Orca is ideal for powder, carving, and freeriding, but its only difficulty lies in switch riding. It's perfect for those who don't do much switch riding. This is due to its tapered shape with a thicker nose and thinner tail, and the tail is very short. The tail has a "whale tail" shape, short and kicked up, reducing resistance and allowing for jumps even in tight, tree-filled terrain. If you are a fan of Lib Tech, the Orca is a must-try board.
- Exceptional maneuverability and responsiveness
- Ideal for powder and tree runs
- Superior carving and high-speed stability
- Challenging for switch riding due to its shape
- Slightly heavier compared to other boards
- Requires good knee and thigh strength for optimal performance
