Why I recommend these
Expert verdict
The Jones Stratos Snowboard is a dream for advanced riders who crave versatility and performance. It combines the best of freeride and freestyle, offering a playful yet powerful ride. The narrow sidecut and friendly flex make it fun for freestyle, while the 10mm taper and 3D Contour Base ensure it floats effortlessly in powder. The Traction Tech 3.0 keeps you locked in during carves, and the Float Pack inserts are perfect for deep snow days. However, it's not for beginners, as it demands skill and effort. If you're ready to tackle challenging terrain, this board is your ticket to adventure!

The Stratos is a hybrid all-mountain board built with the body of a directional freeride board and the spirit of a freestyle board. The Stratos has a playful board feel thanks to a narrow sidecut and friendly flex, but the 10mm of taper and 3D Contour Base 3.0 give it the float and turn performance of a pow board. The directional rocker profile and Traction Tech 3.0 keep the Stratos locked on edge accelerating into carves and the textured Eco-plastic top sheet and Basalt stringers add torsional response and reduce board chatter in rough terrain. The Stratos also features Float Pack inserts that offer a setback stance option for the deepest days.
