Last year, everything changed: Supermatic arrived. The world’s first self-closing two-strap binding, which works with any snowboard boot. A simple, snow-proof system, no need to change your boots, and use them like a normal binding if you’re somewhere sketchy or in deep snow. Now, Supermatic has evolved with three new colorways - olive green, white, and a refreshed black. There’s also a new XL size, so the benefits of this gamechanger are now available to bigger-footed riders. To set up Supermatic, you adjust the straps to fit your boot and lock them in place with the LSR buckles. With a press of the Release Lever on the side, the heel pedal lifts up, and the hiback and straps open up, allowing you to remove your foot. To get back in, slide your boot in and down, and it closes by itself. It’s an easy, simple, and elegant solution for anyone who’s ever thought that the normal way of strapping in could be better. Supermatic has a mid-stiff flex and is a solid performer for any type of all-mountain riding. We’ve tested it on groomers, steep ‘n’ deep freeride lines, and in the park with a range of riders, from amateurs to world champions and Olympians, and it works everywhere - truly Rider Approved. Supermatic is built using the most popular parts of the Nidecker line, like the tried-and-tested glass-filled-nylon in the baseplate. The Asym Hadron hiback, custom-tuned for Supermatic, has an integrated forward lean adjuster so you can tweak the response how you like. Supermatic isn’t for everybody, but let’s be honest – you deserve a set of bindings that let you spend more time snowboarding, and less time messing around before you drop in.
