Posted on Jan 7, 2025As a beginner snowboarder, I’ve been riding the Arbor Foundation Rocker, and it’s been a fantastic board to help me build confidence and improve my skills. The first thing I noticed is how forgiving it feels. The full rocker profile makes catching an edge much less likely, which is a huge plus for someone still getting comfortable with turns and balance.
The board is lightweight and easy to control, even at slower speeds. It’s very responsive, but not overly aggressive, which makes it great for learning basic maneuvers. The soft-to-medium flex is perfect for progression—it feels stable enough for cruising down greens and blues but playful enough for trying out small freestyle tricks.
I also appreciate the eco-friendly craftsmanship Arbor is known for, like the sustainably sourced wood core. It’s nice to know I’m supporting a brand that values sustainability while I enjoy my time on the mountain.

Tyler made great recommendations and really took the time to understand where my skill level is at and where I intend to ski. Ultimately, I was uncomfortable making the investment without trying the skis first, so I ended up buying a pair that I had rented several times and really liked.
