Super light, super versatile and fantastic carver
Originally posted at www.atomic.com on Apr 3, 2024I've used these for two seasons, they are my go to ski for low to no (new) snow days as they are so versatile and one of my favorite skis for groomers. I do think you need to be an advanced to expert skier to realize the potential of the ski, but for how light it is, it's amazing how it can hold speed and carve incredibly well. It's been great everywhere except heavier chop where it gets punted around a bit but its an extremely light ski so I would expect that. It floats well in pow for it's width, it's a bit locked-in but you can still slash and slarve and it's great in trees and in the air, I find it's just so easy to flick it around or break it free because it's so light. Maybe not the greatest hard-moguls ski given its generally directional nature but again, it's so easy to flick around good technique or a change in technique means this ski really can go anywhere on the hill. It does want some speed before really digging in and carving, which is why I think someone who isn't stomping and charging the mountain may not enjoy these as much. Aggressive skiers with the ability to vary technique will love this ski. I'd buy another pair in a heartbeat.
