Ideal for
- With a Flat profile with Rocker at the nose and tail, snowboard is easy to press and butter on
- With an extruded base and Nitro's Powercore, the durability of this snowboard is off the charts.
- A perfect snowboard for progressing and building confidence on the mountain.
Not ideal for
- The Nitro Prime Raw is not the most stable charging hard and riding fast.
- Without any camber on this snowboard, it's not the best for carving.
- The Prime Raw is not a fan of icy or hard pack terrain.

Great Beginner Board
Posted on Dec 27, 2023Got this for my teenage son. He has been out with me 6-7 times, and this is his first owned deck. He wanted something he could continue to learn on but not grow out of too fast.
He has one day on it so far. Matched with rambler bindings and DC phase boots. They all seem to be balance well. It is fairly catch free. Has good pop, and generally enhanced his confidence.
The only small gripe (and I mean small) is the top sheet has a softer/matte finish. Snow does stick to it more than glossy finishes. Sprayed it with rain-x for the next trip out.

I have been looking for skis for this upcoming winter, but honestly, i'm a rookie & had some (alot) of questions. I wanted to learn a little about what gear was recommended to me, and why it was selected- not because I didn't trust it- but, because I like to understand the thought process that goes into it! It's just the way I process things. But, Thomas was patient & happily explained everything to me. I also am horribly inconsistent with my response times, and regardless of when I messaged, he always responded in a matter of minutes. I feel like sometimes when I go shopping in person and someone is helping me, I feel pressured to take their recommendation, and like I have to buy something- so using curated was a lot more appealing to me, and I cannot recommend it enough!
