Who would love these

The Salomon QST 98 Skis are ideal for intermediate to expert skiers who crave versatility and adventure. They're a great daily driver for all terrains and conditions. These skis are designed for those who want to push their limits and explore the mountain in all its glory.

Why I recommend these

Versatile all-mountain and all conditions
Lightweight yet stable
Handles technical terrain with ease

Expert verdict

The Salomon QST 98 Skis are a fantastic choice for those who love versatility on the slopes. With a 98mm waist, these skis are perfect for tackling everything from groomers to powder. The C/FX Carbon-Flax fiber and Cork Damplifier tips and tails make them lightweight yet stable, ensuring smooth rides even on challenging terrains. I love how they handle tight trees and rock-infested steeps with ease, and they're even a great hybrid backcountry option. However, they might not be the best for those who prefer strictly groomed runs. Overall, if you're looking for a playful yet powerful all-mountain ski, the QST 98 is a top contender for a true one-ski quiver.

The QST is a really solid intermediate ski that does a bit of everything! This ski is one that will work well for a large range of skiers. It fits a nice sweet spot of being both fairly strong and maintaining a trim weight. This would be an excellent ski to think about as a 50/50 do-everything kinda ski with something like a Salomon shift. This ski trends towards soft snow performance in the... Read more

Good ski for a season

Originally posted at www.salomon.com on Feb 19, 2024
Very Gould looking high performance ski, however it built to last maybe one season. Half way trough this season with about 6 days of ski all edges chipped , may not effect the performance but already look older than my old skis after 10 years

Faster than I expected!

I purchased the Solomon QST 98 183 last month through Solomon.com. I was a little nervous purchasing online without seeing them but I have no regrets. They are the best skis that I have ever owned for resort skiing. I've had to tell myself to slow down several times. Amazing control under high speeds and superb carving abilities. I'm so happy that I purchased these. I also purchased the Salomon Warden MNC 13 ski bindings to go with. Am combo.

I had an amazing experience working with Frankie to find the right snowboarding gear. He was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire process. No matter what questions I had or how many times I switched up what I was looking for, he adapted seamlessly and never missed a beat. He was always available when I needed guidance, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely knows their stuff and is dedicated to helping you find exactly what you need, Frankie is the person to go to! Highly recommend!

Ben is awesome!
5 /5
I ski in Killington Vt where they are known to have extremely knowledgeable skiers/boarders, coaches etc. and they do to a degree but I will tell you that Ben was more helpful than all of them. I was told so many different things that didn't really line up with what I noticed when I demo'd skis but everything Ben said about the ski's I demo'd was spot on. I am grateful to have found him and will share my experience with others. Great guy - he worked hard and answered more questions that I would imagine he would care to but he answered them all and hung in there with me right through the end. If I am ever in Alaska, I hope to meet him and take some runs with him sometime!

Sarah was so helpful!
5 /5
As someone that just recently decided to invest in her own gear and no longer rent, Sarah was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process! She took the time to explain the differences in boards and other gear, making sure I got what I needed for my first startup set. I'm very grateful for all her assistance and the attention she put into finding the right fit for me!

Leo is a legend!
5 /5
I really appreciated Leo’s honestly as most online reviews of the ski equipment I was looking for were far too positive, and really very few people willing to admit or call out truths about various options, however Leo was spot on and understood exactly what I was experiencing with my current skis which perhaps weren’t the best choice for where I ski. That said we had a huge downfall of snow today and my skis performed absolutely brilliantly, but with Leo’s help I decided to upgrade my skis anyway and also needed bindings for my new Atomic Maverick 88ti skis, following Leo’s advice I opted for the Marker Griffin 13 ID Bindings.

Parker was so helpful with sending me recommendations and even created a personalized video that explained why he was making the recommendations. I definitely didn’t expect such great service from an online ski salesperson! I’ve been looking for skis for months now and Parker helped me decide in one afternoon! I would highly recommend this service to anyone looking to purchase skis!
