Who would love these
The K2 Poachers are designed for creative freestyle skiers who want a park-driven twin tip ski that can also be called upon to carve up the groomers, hit the trees and moguls, and go explore off piste here and there.
Why I recommend these
Expert verdict
The Poacher is K2's answer for skiers looking for a twin tip ski that can mix it up in the terrain park, carve a decent turn on a groomer, and go wiggle through some trees. While a lot of twin tip skis tend to be very soft in terms of flex, the Poacher is actually somewhat stiff, due to an aspen/fir wood core backed up by carbon stringers. This results in a twin tip that feels stable at speed and holds a much stronger edge than most other twin tips. Make no mistake, the Poacher is hardly limited to just the terrain park—this ski arcs a clean turn and is very maneuverable through trees and moguls due to the rockered tip and tail. With a 96 mm waist, it's not the best tool for powder, and if you want an incredibly damp ski for carving high speed turns, there are better options. But for skiers wanting a park ski that isn't just a park ski, look to the Poacher.

A favorite among K2’s freestyle athletes, the Poacher is a common sight atop X Games and Dew Tour podiums. Though most of its screentime comes from major contests, this park ski is burly enough to dominate even the heaviest of late-night street sessions. Built with our Carbon Boost construction and a Fir/Aspen wood core, these skis deliver tons of pop off the lip and the stability you need to stomp those deep landings. These Poachers are loved by freestyle athletes like Joss Christensen, Colby Stevenson, and Ferdinand Dahl.
